April is essentially an analog horror monster with a day job at a Canadian federal institute for paranormal research. They'll answer to any pronoun, but generally bounces between they and her, and this will be reflected in the tags. They've been a temp for nearly 40 years and they're sick of it.


In the Magnus Archives universe, they're an agent of The Stranger, and they claim they were never human, they just manifested like this.


Abilities - IMPORTANT!
April has a pretty forgettable face. But a familiar face! You're sure you've seen them before, just forgotten their name.

April's face itself is blurry and indistinct, not unlike creepily edited old timey photos. However, most people just see unremarkable, generic features, and other than a nagging feeling that there was something about that face, nothing seems out of place. That said, they can make some of their features clearer to a viewer. Sometimes to emphasize a point, or to throw suspicion off if people seem to be trying to scrutinize them as something... wrong.

If you're supernaturally perceptive, or maybe very experienced in things that play tricks on your mind, you could catch on that there's something wrong with April, and you can even figure out what that is! That said, however, it's advised you don't try too hard to actually see what April's face looks like. It's going to be unpleasant for both of you if you do.
